Do you have experience of working in a remote operations centre providing a 24-hour service to clients? Are you able to co-ordinate and lead major incidents?

To help with the day-to-day running of Bridge Operations supporting our Government and Private Sector clients

**What you will be doing**:

- Co-ordinate and manage Major Incidents during nights and weekends when on shift
- To be able to co-ordinate all parties during major problems and outages, ensuring actions are taken and users are updated on a regular basis
- Ensuring that problems are escalated to Support or Management as required.
- Produce shift and online daily reports highlighting the points for attention for escalation.
- Ensure scheduled changes are implemented / backed out as per instructions.
- Monitoring of batch, calling support and logging details as appropriate.
- Monitoring systems and highlighting anomalies
- Answering incoming calls, taking vital details and ensuring the call is dealt with.
- Performing checklists and ensuring that problems highlighted are followed up.
- Pick and box cartridges for dispatch to offsite storage.
- Unpack and rack returned offsite storage cartridges.
- Monitoring the Incident Management Systems.

**What you will bring**:

- Experience of Major Incidents and understanding of the management process
- Good interpersonal skills
- An appreciation of when to take decisions and when to escalate
- Proven customer service skills, and experience of dealing with difficult customer issues
- A positive attitude towards teamwork
- Ability to work to tight timescales and under pressure.
- Good understanding of processes and procedures and the meaningful way in which they contribute to the ROC environment.

**It would be good if you had**:

- Desktop / Server skills
- Microsoft Office
- Some leadership experience

**Salary**: £25,000 to £30,000 (plus a 20% shift allowance)

**Hours**:14 x 12 hour shifts in a 28-day pattern - (3-week rota)

**Benefits**: 25 days annual leave with the option to buy additional days, 4 x death in service benefit, pension, and generous flexible benefits fund 3% (can be taken as a cash option), annual bonus of up to £500.
