As UX designer you’ll play a vital role in our digital product development and optimisation process. This role has the hugely exciting opportunity of creating real impact on our digital customer journeys, leveraging user insights and surrounding capabilityto design inspirational and impactful changes to the website. Putting the user first you will perform research, conduct usability tests and carefully analyse data to get a better understanding of our customers - who they are and what they need. You will supportthe wider teams through various ways, including;
ideation and exploration of requirements, wireframes and prototypes, creating production ready user interfaces and interaction specification documents.

ScS is excited to announce its new Digital Lounge situated within our Coventry store allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the ScS shopping journey, both with our in store experts and customers. We will be focussed on building truly omnichannel experiencesthrough improving our current proposition and revolutionising the homewares shopping journeys.

The Digital Lounge will hold a wide range of opportunities for new and existing talent across digital marketing, ecommerce, UX and product.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Design inspiring and effective digital experiences by utilising user-centered-design (UCD) processes
- Support the product development and optimisation activities through the production of wireframes which meet the user requirements and hypotheses
- Conduct user research and usability tests for new experiences and in support of opportunities for improvement
- Build out user flows which visually describe the consumer journeys
- Using qualitative and quantitative data analysis to better inform decisions and priorities
- Communicate the interaction design through technically detailed wireframes
- Understand technical dependencies and requirements to help produce informed solutions
- Own and maintain the digital experience language (DEL) to allow consistency and controlled change of elements within the user experience
- Generate a continuous learning environment through trend analysis and knowledge sharing within the business

**Experience & qualifications**:

- 3+ years experience in a UX Design position, ideally within ecommerce
- Proficient in building wireframes, prototypes, user interface and interaction specifications
- An understanding of ecommerce shopping behaviours and best practices in UX design
- Working understanding of user-centered-design practices
- Experience in responsive design and ecommerce apps
- Experience in building or working with design frameworks
- Excellent attention to detail, with evidence of strong fundamentals in ecommerce page layouts, typography and information architecture
- Experienced in using UX research and analysis tools
- Familiar with software such as Sketch, Illustrator, Invision, Proto.io
- The ability to prototype in HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Fantastic presentation skills and the ability to produce regular engaging updates
