Data Co-ordinator

By the nature of the duties the post holder will be required to maintain strict confidentiality and will be expected to deal with patients, carers, medical staff and other visitors in person and in writing with courtesy and discretion at all times.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Medicine team as a Data Co-ordinator. The post holder will be responsible for the prompt collection of complete, accurate and reliable data to the relevant databases within Medicine, for example, Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Audits
The successful individual will require excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with highly confidential patient information. Along with an advanced level of administrative and organisational skills.
The post holder will provide a co-ordinating role for Central to ensure compliance with national database submissions and ensuring validation of data quality. In order to contribute to the delivery of a safe and efficient service, the post holder will co-ordinate results and ensure accurate and timely completion of databases and reports to meet national deadlines.
The post holder will be required to work closely with identified senior clinical staff and become involved with relevant meetings.
In addition the post holder will provide administrative support to the team.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
