**Role Overview**:
The role of Fund Controller is integral to Global Private Markets Operations, focusing on funds and mandates with primarily non-UK investments. The assets are typically held within various private markets fund structures, including limited partnerships, REITs, RAIFs, and investment trusts. Additionally, there may be segregated mandates and other fund types involved. These structures often encompass multiple special purpose vehicles, external bank debt, derivatives, indirect investments, and a high level of tax, structuring, and operational complexity.

**Responsibilities**:

- 1. Fund Control for Pan-European Real Estate Fund(s):_
- Oversee and review all financial reporting, including Net Asset Values (NAVs), produced by internal and external accountants and consolidation service providers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage year-end financial documents (IFRS) and coordinate the Funds' annual audit.
- Identify and implement improvements to the Fund control environment, evaluating and managing third-party service providers.
- Budgeting at the fund level and monitoring performance against the budget.
- Ensure proper control, approval, and accurate recording of fund-level and asset/SPV level transactions.
- Provide business partnering and support to Real Estate Funds, working closely with Investment and private markets structuring teams.
- 2. Reporting and Compliance:_
- Review financial information for investor presentations, including performance calculations.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports in a timely and accurate manner (Solvency II, AIFMD, MIFID, VAG reporting, etc.).
- Oversee cash movement within corporate structures through intercompany loans and equity transactions.
- Manage investor transactions and reporting, including reviewing communications during drawdown, distribution, and NAV processes.
- Present financial information to committees and boards as needed.
- Oversee fund hedging policy, loan administration, loan covenant reporting, and stress test processes.
- 3. Risk Management and Process Improvement:_
- Operate within an acceptable level of business risk and report any shortcomings in policies and procedures.
- Assess risks facing the real estate portfolio, anticipate potential difficulties, and contribute to problem resolution.
- Adhere to standard methodology and promote continuous process improvement.
- Stay updated with new regulatory changes impacting Real Estate.

**Requirements**:

- Extensive experience in Private Markets Operations with a strong focus on Real Estate.
- Familiarity with various private markets fund structures, such as Limited Partnerships, investment trusts, etc.
- Working knowledge of IFRS and forward-looking financial forecasting.
- Qualified accountant (CA or ACCA preferred).
- Excellent Excel skills.
- Self-motivated with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, along with the ability to influence effectively.
