We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Finance Business Partner to join our team
As part of your role reporting into the Finance Director, you will play a pivotal part in driving finance performance and supporting key business decisions. Operating as a strategic business partner to the operational and commercial teams you will gain an in-depth understanding of the business and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to provide insightful financial analysis, build and deliver the annual Budgets and identify growth opportunities.

Our award winning doggy day care centres are like forest schools. Dogs exercise and socialise in acres of open, green space, under the attentive, loving supervision of well-trained carers. We offer heated log cabins, paddling pools, agility, sensory zones, and enrichment plans to keep dogs and staff engaged and mentally stimulated.
Having secured private equity investment, Bruce’s is taking the lead and expanding to create a national group of dog day care nurseries. We currently have a team of 280 staff, caring for more than 1,000 dogs a day in 9 sites across London, the Home Counties and Solihull. Our Founder, Bruce, has shaped industry regulations, is Chairman for the Pet Industry Federation and acts as an advisor to the likes of DEFRA, Dogs Trust and the RSPCA.
You will be the lead finance partner and contact for our sites, supporting commercial decision-making, and additionally responsible for:
- Leading the periodic and quarterly review process for the sites, including generating monthly reporting packs for the sites, ensuring General Managers are in control of their P&Ls and providing insightful analysis for action
- Identifying improvement initiatives/opportunities and their related financials
- Understanding and identifying the cost drivers and risk areas of the business, providing insight to non-finance colleagues and driving action to ensure risks are mitigated
- Liaising closely with general managers in the new site planning process
- Preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, including communication and coordination with key stakeholders
- Support the month-end close process and provide understanding and insight into performance
- Ad hoc analysis and reporting as required
- Challenging current ways of working, driving efficiencies and best practise wherever possible
For this role, you will:
- Be a qualified Accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA
- Have proven commercial experience with highly evolved financial analysis skills

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, both verbal and written
- Proactive and enthusiastic, with a positive attitude and work ethic and with an ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent organisational skills - able to plan and prioritise work effectively
- Ability to work effectively and flexibly as part of a team as well as independently

**Salary**: £50,000.00 per year
