**£320 - £340 per week**

We are working with a SEN primary school on the outskirts of the Portslade area who are looking for a classroom assistant to join their team of dedicated support staff.

**This is a long-term role, Monday to Friday from 8.30am - 15.30pm**

You will be supporting is a KS2 class with 9 students that have complex communication learning difficulties. Most children are following the engagement model and the focus of the class is communication and sensory needs.

**Must**:

- Offer outstanding classroom presence
- Show commitment to safeguarding
- Promote good behaviour in line with school policies
- Be proactive, determined and understanding to each child’s development

**Must have**:

- Ability to work well independently and as a team
- Has a passion to support and empower children and young people
- A DBS on the Updates Service, or be willing to obtain one
- Commitment to safeguarding students and young people

- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Portslade: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Special education: 1 year (preferred)
