Our client is looking for a Quantity Surveyor or a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join one of their bulk fuel storage operations, with the option for fully remote working.

Supporting the Procurement and Capital Project Teams to ensure that tenders and bids made, and quotes submitted are realistic and fair and the works undertaken, are completed in full, on budget and provide value for money.

Some overnight stays to other sites may be required, a full, preferably clean, driving licence is essential.

There may also be a requirement for occasional overseas visits to Gibraltar and Singapore.

Key Responsibilities Include:

- Ensure activities completed are fully compliant with company policies, procedures and legal requirements, particularly safety
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally
- Report on activities and provide relevant management information
- To manage all costs relating to projects to ensure validity and value for money
- Support the client in preparing supporting documentation for projects including ITT, T&Cs and cost estimates
- Ensure tenders are issued in accordance with the Agency's procurement policy and procedures
- Monitor Contractors to ensure compliance with the Contract
- Monitor, maintain and re-negotiate schedules of Rates
- Review, monitor and approve Bills of Quantities
- Monitor delivery of the service to ensure that costs are in line with forecasts
- Support the Project Engineers in the management of the contract
- Prepare in-house estimates, derive cost, valuate variation order and analyse financial bids

Qualifications:
About you:
The successful applicant must have demonstrable experience with cost estimates and contracts. You will be required to build strong positive working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders, including the Capital Project, Asset Technical& Operations Teams. You will need excellent influencing skills, able to communicate at all levels across a multi-cultural environment.

Salary - DOE, 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays. 12% employer's pension
