Venrec are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client for a **Nursery Practitioner **to join their friendly, growing **nursery** based in **Catford, South East London**. The nursery cares for children aged from 4 months to 5 years old.

**The role entails (but is not limited to)**:

- Providing all aspects of care at the nursery, ensuring that all children receive a high standard of care
- Ensuring that all learning plans and routines are followed
- Working alongside other staff members to deliver various activities to children, ensuring that all activities are relevant to the age range of the children who are participating
- Keeping up to date records on any achievements for any children within your care, and uploading this onto the online journal so that parents/guardians can view it
- Working closely with parents of special needs children to give full integration into the nursery
- Completing various domestic tasks when needed, including: cleaning activity areas, preparing snacks, etc.
- Supporting other members of the team
- Ensuring that all safe guarding policies and procedures are followed
- Ensuring that all children are collected by an individual known to the nursery
- Recording all accidents in the accident book
- Completing any out of hours training/activities when required. Including: staff meetings, parents evenings, etc.
- Previous experience working within a similar role
- An NVQ level 2 or 3 in Childcare
- A valid Enhanced DBS or be willing to do an Enhanced DBS
- The ability to follow nursery policies, procedures and guidelines
- The ability to work well a part of a team
- A friendly personality and the ability to build rapport with children and other staff members
- An understanding of relevant legislation, including: Health and Safety, etc.

**The salary for this position is dependent on experience but is between £19,200 - 21,000
