We are recruiting a Marketing and Communications Assistant based at our Head Office in Whiston to support the organisation to develop its internal and external communications and marketing strategies to raise the profile of the charity with its key audiences. This role be responsible for the creation of content for printed, digital and social media, alongside web content and development, co-ordinating marketing campaigns and internal and external events.

Responsibilities of this role include the creation and editing of communications copy; develop/maintain web content and the organisations social media accounts; oversee internal and external communications; support the development of public relations and promotional materials; support the coordination and delivery of local and national events (internal and external) including staff conferences and community events; track projects and media exposure as well as updating databases and media lists.

You will also be responsible for some general administrative duties including answering telephone calls, preparing presentations, scheduling meetings and making travel arrangements.

You will need previous work experience in a similar role and have proven skills in marketing communications, web content management, social media marketing and / or public relations. You must have strong editing and researching skills, excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills. You must have knowledge of media relations, social media platforms and digital media strategies; be confident and experienced with all MS Office software; have outstanding communication and customer service skills. You will also need a driving license and access to your own vehicle.

It would be desirable to be educated to degree level in Marketing, Communications or a related field and have working knowledge of content management systems but not essential.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 22.5 per week

**Salary**: From £13,467.00 per year
