**THE POSITION**

We are currently looking for a Hospital Specialist to join our team to drive sales, advocacy and market access within a specific therapy area through successful interactions with clinicians, payers and other healthcare professionals across Primary and Secondary care.

You will be conversant with the ABPI Code and ensure adherence to it.

**Key Tasks & responsibilities will include**:

- Develops stakeholder map for TA. Has deep understanding of the emerging multi-stakeholder environment and develops and maintains a comprehensive knowledge of customer needs, maintains customer engagement plan, networks, and knowledge of products and environment.
- Effectively utilises all available resources to sell and promote products and enhance service the company offers. Works collaboratively with support functions to determine which resources best fits the customer and/or circumstances.
- Development and maintenance of relationships with key consultants, clinical payers, and other relevant decision makers to create the optimal environment for brand success
- Capitalise on opportunities by influencing key stakeholders to consider the company’s therapy areas as a priority, influencing the allocation of funding, shaping the market and creating an optimum selling environment for the account team
- Responsible for implementing agreed actions in local account plan to maximise advocacy and patient access to company products
- Keeps up to speed with local intelligence and shares knowledge with Local Account Team members highlighting business opportunities across secondary and primary care.
- Support KAM in providing TA expertise at customer meetings where required
- Seeks to understand their customer's channel preferences in order to utilise the appropriate resources available (both digital and people channels) to drive the best customer experience.

**Requirements**:

- Previous diabetes experience desirable
- Up to date clinical knowledge of company/ competitor brands
- Understands account management processes and tools
- Analytical skills
- Project management skills
- Good level of experience working in a pharmaceutical, commercial or NHS management environment
- Digital proficiency ability to embrace technological change
