**Key Responsibilities for the Management Accountant**
- Prepare monthly operating cost, capital reports and forecast management
- Reviews reports to identify and highlight drivers of performance and reasons for any changes
- Supports the budget and forecasting process within the business, including budget modelling, analysis, reporting and submission
- Assists with the preparation of monthly and year-end accounting and control requirements to complement statutory accounts
- Prepares monthly VAT returns
- Prepares monthly cash-flow forecasting
- Conducts balance sheet reconciliations
- Provides analytical support to the Finance team, assisting with ad hoc requests to guide decision making
- Prepares for statutory returns

**Key essentials of the Management Accountant**
- Qualified Accountant (e.g., ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Sound knowledge in accounting principles and the management accounts processes with a strong understanding of excel and experience working on SAP (desired)
- Organised, flexible and has a good eye for detail
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and collaboration skills
