**Overview**
Roles:
1. **Assessment and Planning**:
- Implement the Family Action Plan agreed by the Local Authority
- Ongoing assessments of families' needs and strengths.
- Develop and implement individualised family support plans.
- Set achievable goals with families and monitor progress.
2. **Support and Advocacy**:
- Provide emotional and practical support to families.
- Advocate on behalf of families to ensure they receive appropriate services.
- Assist families in navigating social service systems.
**3. Resource Connection**:
- Identify and connect families with relevant community resources (e.g., housing, healthcare, education, financial assistance).
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local resources and services.
**4. Education and Skill Development**:
- Provide information and education on parenting, child development, and healthy family dynamics.
- Offer support around life skills, budgeting, and other relevant topics.
**5. Crisis Intervention**:
- Respond to family crises and provide immediate support.
- Develop safety plans and connect families with emergency services when necessary.
**6. Documentation and Reporting**:
- Maintain accurate and detailed case notes and records.
- Prepare reports on family progress and outcomes.
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance with organisational and legal standards.
**7. Collaboration and Networking**:
- Work collaboratively with other professionals and agencies.
- Participate in multi-agency meetings and case conferences.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with community partners.
**8. Professional Development**:
- Engage in ongoing professional development and training.
- Stay informed about best practices in family support work.
**Other Responsibilities**
- To provide high-quality care and support to individuals who cannot fully care for themselves due to age, illness, disability, or other reasons.
- Help clients with daily activities, promote independence, and enhance their quality of life.
**3. Skills and Competencies**:
- Experience working with children is highly desirable, demonstrating an understanding of their unique needs and behaviours.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build trust and rapport with families.
- Knowledge of community resources and social services.
- Crisis intervention and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Organizational and time-management skills.
**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: £13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 10 - 35 per week
Shift:
- Night shift
Work days:
- Monday to Friday
