**Lead Automation Test Engineer - C#.net - £65,000**

Are you an experienced Automation QA Tester who is looking for an opportunity to help define the Automation testing strategy for a company who will support and listen to your suggestions?

Are you a person with a pragmatic approach and strong communication skills who is capable of clearly communicating details of issues and solutions?

**The Role**

You will have to ensure internally developed software meets the high standards and in order to do this you are required to work closely with the development team throughout the project lifecycle to maintain quality at all stages. It is important you areconfident within your Automation experience as you will need to educate the business on new solutions, technologies, and skills. As well as identify training needs for the business.

**Responsibilities**

You will:

- Understand the product design and specification to facilitate other aspects of the role
- Suggest improvements to the product design based on experience
- Work with the team to produce valid, testable acceptance criteria
- Produce test documentation for the business
- Write test cases to detect usability and performance issues
- Create / manage automated testing, including selection of appropriate automation tools
- Conduct all forms of testing, including regression and performance
- Produce detailed reproduction steps for issues
- Work with the team to explain and demonstrate issues and review possible solutions
- Determine whether releases meet the expected levels of quality and discuss stopping a release if not of sufficient quality
- Suggest improvements to the software/systems based on experience

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Strong communication skills
- Understand the development process and software life cycle
- Understand how QA fits into an Agile way of working
- Knowledge of testing methodologies and best practices
- Proficiency in a wide range of testing (e.g., web, API, AB, load, security, automated etc.)
- DevOps project management and Test Plans within it
- Agile
- AWS
