**Position: Support Worker**

**Salary: £10.06 - £10.51 per hour + £1000 Welcome Bonus**

**Service: The Grange, Carmarthen (Close to Town centre)**

**About the Role**

The Grange is a homely residential service providing support and accommodation for adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs in a positive, nurturing setting. Situated within walking distance of Carmarthen town, The Grange offers six en-suite bedrooms, a lounge, activity room, sensory room and enclosed garden.

With strong leadership and a dedicated support team all trained in Positive Behavioural Support, the team are highly experienced in supporting individuals with a range of complex needs. Using Active Support, the team support individuals to develop skills that enable them to enjoy greater independence, from making their breakfast and organising their bedrooms to managing their finances and using public transport.

We will ensure you have all the skills and knowledge to complete the role and ensure that you have a great time whilet are are doing it. We are a great team who enjoying having lots of fun and this is a home with a family feel were anything impossible become possible.

You’ll be responsible for supporting an inclusive lifestyle within the community as individuals attend local colleges or day trips out. Develop greater independence and daily living skills by assisting with the upkeep of the service, preparing meals, shopping and domestic duties. Providing help with personal care such as washing, bathing and dressing whilst working across various shift patterns including early, late and weekend or night shifts. Full time and part time positions are available.

You may be new to care, already have experience in the social care sector or the NHS as a Mental Health Support Worker, Care Worker, Healthcare Assistant or Care Assistant. We also recruit for attitude and personality so, if you don’t have all the right skills, we can provide a full induction, relevant training and the support you need to get the most from your role.

It is a requirement that all workers within the Health and Social Care Sector are registered with Social Care Wales. Consensus Support Services will reimburse you the registration fee of £30.
