Automation Tester

Do you have Technical Tester experience, and are you seeking a new remote role? Deerfoot IT Recruitment is helping a well known, global organisation recruit an Automation Tester, and the role comes with a salary of up between £45-65k p/a depending on experience/ grade, and an excellent benefits package. You can work from any UK base, with regular some travel required to the Head Office in Telford.

Working for public sector clients, in this embedded software engineer role, you will create low-level test scripts and set up test data in conjunction with external systems and teams.

In your first few weeks in this API Tester role, you can expect to:

- Create low-level test scripts and set up test data in conjunction with external systems and teams
- Run tests, collect and record results and then retest to prove that errors identified have been corrected
- Keep the wider team, including the Product Owner, up to date with the test progress, including any risk-based assessments undertaken and raise any issues when relevant.

To apply, you will need experience in API testing and hands-on experience in using automated testing frameworks (e.g, Cucumber, JUnit). You will also require the following:

- Knowledge of Linux
- Understanding Non-Functional, Load or Performance testing
- Excellent communication skills, problem-solving and collaborative skills
- Previous experience as a Technical Tester.

In return for your knowledge and expertise, you will receive a salary of £45-£65,000 and an attractive benefits package.
