**Shop Assistant| Notting Hill, London, W8| Full-time and Part-time available**

Our client is a distinctive luxury confectionary & giftware retailer, with international recognition, broad appeal, and over 40 years of brand history.

As a member of their team, your primary role will be to aid in the sales and production of chocolate boxes and other specialty gift items, and assisting in the chocolate store and café as required, working with the Sales staff with completing customer’sorders for their centrepieces, gift items, and floral decorations, as well as maintaining cleanliness and hygiene of the store. Training will be provided.

**Full Time**

5 Shifts (days) per week (40 hours plus paid overtime), Monday to Saturday with one day off per week

£18,000 - £22,000 per year (£9.50-£10.50 per hour), depending on suitability and experience

**Part Time**

3-4 Shifts (days) per week (20-30 hours plus paid overtime), Monday to Sunday with 3 or 4 days off per week

£10,000- £15,000 per year(£9.50-£10.50 per hour), depending on suitability and experience

**Are you the right person for the job?**

- Excellent communication skills & service etiquette
- Willingness and ability to be a fast learner of a range of varied production techniques
- Confidence to be creative & determined to learn a wide range of skills
- Excellent hand-eye coordination, and an ability to work with your hands, on delicate items
- Some experience/interest in hand-crafts. Creativity & artistic flair
- A sharp eye for detail when it comes to a product, the store’s & one’s own presentation
- An ability to be punctual, reliable, and to work under pressure
- The flexibility to work (paid) overtime when required a few times a year
- Luxury sales & customer service experience, including experience in dealing with high-profile people
- Some experience in the luxury confectionary or home-ware/giftware sectors
- A positive attitude that fits well with the existing team

**What will my role as a Shop Assistant look like?**
- Aiding customers with their chocolate purchasing needs
- Assisting the Sales managers in taking specialist orders for confectionery
- Preparing customer orders of chocolate gift boxes & baskets from inception to completion
- Displaying sweets, chocolates & cakes in the store
- Wrapping chocolates in coloured foil & wrapping chocolate boxes in gift-wrap paper
- Creating floral arrangements of silk flowers for gift-baskets
- Help in preparing home-ware displays and shop windows
- Reporting & maintaining stock levels
- Assisting the Barista in the Café/Patisserie, if necessary, at busy times of the day
- Assist with closing the store for the evenings (evening shift)
- Help to maintain tidiness, cleanliness & hygiene levels within the shop
