The Whittan Group is the largest manufacturer of steel storage products in the United Kingdom. Operating through a number of market leading brands; we design, manufacture and install storage solutions for commercial and industrial environments in the UK and Europe.

We are looking for a Warehouse Operative to join our busy and growing organisation. The Warehouse Operative will provide operational support to the loading operation from the warehouse to outbound vehicles whilst ensuring all vehicles are loaded/ despatched in line with customer orders, build requirements and stock priority, delivery times and dates.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Ensure 100% adherence to Health and Safety and COSHH procedures, identifying non-conformance and risks and reporting these to the line manager
- Ensure all vehicles and orders despatched are done in such a way, so that efficiency and trailer-fill are maximised, costs are controlled and vehicles are scheduled with multi-drops where necessary to the same area
- Ensure load list accuracy and ensure any issues are reported back to the Despatch office immediately
- Notify the Warehouse Supervisor of any discrepancies and/or shortages to any orders being despatched
- Communicate with the Warehouse Supervisor any issues relating to the planned shipments

**Required experience/skills/qualifications**:

- Counterbalance Forklift licence
- High level of numeracy accuracy and the ability to read and follow pick notes
- Demonstrable knowledge of loading competency and load safety
- Good communication skills

**Desirable**:

- Minimum two year’s experience in warehouse operations
- Reach truck licence
