Senior Activity Co-ordinator £12.50 per hour plus company benefits Full-time, 40 hrs pw incl. alternate weekend working Netley Court is a **"Outstanding" CQC rated** residential and dementia care home situated in Netley Abbey. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and compassionate Senior Activities Co-ordinator to to lead and manage the Activities Team. The role involves planning and facilitating stimulating activities, promoting independence and choice to suit the different needs and interests of the residents. This is a hands-on working role and whilst managing the team you will have responsibility for coordinating a successful activities and volunteer programme within the home. You will work closely with the Heads of Department in the home ensuring that planned activities run smoothly and any catering requirements are supported by the Catering team. Whilst managing the activities team, supervisions and appraisals are part of your role as is rota management for your team. You will organize and actively participate in themed events, daily activities and fitness programmes with our residents. Any celebratory calendar events will also be part of the activity programme. You will also organise, plan and attend day excursions to local places of interest, gardens, historical locations or shopping trips. For this role you must have a **clean driving licence and be aged over 21** as you will be required to drive the mini bus at times. **Person Specification** 1. Level 3 (QCF) Supporting Activities in Social Care (beneficial but not essential) 2. NAPA Qualifications 3. Knowledge of organizing activities to enhance the lives of residents 4. IT literacy - competent with the use of systems 5. Good communication skills 6. Applicable hobbies and self-interests 7. Relevant life experiences 8. A creative approach to ideas 9. Can demonstrate ability to motivate residents using energy, sense of humour and a positive attitude 10. Full clean driving license with the ability to drive our minibus for outings
