**Job Overview**
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Personal Assistant (PA) to support vulnerable adults in their daily lives. As a PA, you will be responsible for assisting individuals with various needs, ensuring their well-being, promoting independence, and helping them achieve a good quality of life. This role involves supporting clients in their home, community, and social environments, tailoring support according to each individual’s specific requirements.

**Responsibilities**

- Help with meal preparation taking into account dietary needs and preferences.
- Support with domestic tasks, such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping, to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.
- Encourage and support individuals to maintain independence, providing assistance where necessary.
- Accompany individuals to appointments, social activities, or outings, offering both practical and emotional support.
- Monitor and report any changes in the individual’s physical, emotional, or mental health to relevant parties, such as Operations Manager
- Maintain accurate records of activities, care provided, and any significant events.
- Ensure the individual’s rights, dignity, and privacy are respected at all times.
- Promote social interaction, wellbeing, and participation in community activities, tailored to the person’s interests and abilities.
- Previous experience in a care or support role is highly desirable.
- Understanding of safeguarding practices and the ability to maintain a safe environment for vulnerable individuals.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with individuals.
- Patience, empathy, and a non-judgemental approach to working with vulnerable adults.
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to the changing needs of the individual.
- A valid DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service) is required for this role.
- Driver’s licence and access to a vehicle is essential

**Desirable Skills**:

- First Aid and/or Manual Handling training.
- Experience working with individuals who have physical or learning disabilities, mental health conditions, or other vulnerabilities.
- Knowledge of specific conditions (e.g., dementia, autism, physical disabilities).

**Working Conditions**:

- The role may involve working in cluttered environments.
- You will be expected to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with care.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 25 per week
