**About the job**
Develop, manage and monitor the council’s corporate compliance & assurance programme for Cyber Security, covering current and evolving threats to technology across the council.

**What We Are Looking For From You**
Co-ordinate and effectively document the organisations Cyber Security compliance requirement as required and in accordance with organisational policies, council standards, legislation, compliance & contractual obligations, and industry best practice.

Main Duties and Responsibilities.

Proactively work with senior council leaders, officers in ICT and Information Governance, and other relevant stakeholders across the council to ensure that Cyber Security requirements are defined, adhered to and that an annual (Council wide) assessment & assurance process is completed and reported on.

Proactively review the assurance of Cyber Security across the council in a timely manner, raising any gaps or risks in the organisation to the Councils Senior Information Risk Officer (SIRO), Information Security Board, Chief Digital Officer (CDO) and Head of IT.

Proactively manage and address requirements that are corporately driven; such as (but not limited to) the Council’s Cyber Security Cloud Impact Assessment and Cyber security frameworks accreditation(s) and associated training and awareness requirements.

Be the main point of contact for the Council in relation to Cyber Security assurance & compliance requirements, take personal responsibility to stay up to date with any changes in the Cyber Security landscape and legislation and ensure that the Council’s Corporate Cyber Security SharePoint site is up to date and contains all relevant information associated with current and emerging requirements.
