I have a full time Teaching assistant vacancy at a SEN school in West Howe.

You will be based in a early years setting at their nursery, reception and year 1 campus. The school support each student as an individual and follow autism best practice guidelines to best support learning and development. They use the Early Years Foundationstage and Birth to Five matters guidance to support the students at a level specific to each child. Their programme focuses on communication, regardless of language ability, and as a school we follow a Total Communication Approach which means we use words,symbols, pictures, signing and objects to help students understand.

The school has its own soft play room and sensory room, two well equipped classrooms, a large outdoor play area and outside classroom, a staff room and an office.
