Our client is embarking on a major project to roll out full fibre broadband services to residential customers and businesses. They are ambitious to make a significant difference to the broadband landscape.
The Field Engineering and maintenance team is part of the Network Operations and Customer experience function. The purpose of the role is to perform customer Installations along with break fix and maintenance of customer services. With the aim of providingcustomers with an exceptional experience through the installation process. The objective of the role is to deliver seamless customer installations, deliver an exceptional customer experience and to maintain the network infrastructure.
You will work closely with the Customer experience team to understand drivers for installation faults and to help drive continuous improvements. You will also assess installation methods with customers to ensure it is convenient for the customer as wellas providing guidance and consultation on the best method and route to fibre into the customers property.
To apply, you will have experience with field-based fault finding and repair techniques including remote diagnostics, a good working knowledge of customer CPE including interface elements such routers and optical interfaces, as well as the ability to performmanual labour in all weather conditions. Good knowledge of fibre optic termination, installation and testing equipment will also be key.
