**Key accountabilities**:

- Proficient in cable location and identification unground cables.
- Test insulation, voltage, phasing, phase rotation and continuity on LV cables
- Able to read and understand 1.500 stat drawings.
- Comply with relevant Health & Safety legislation.
- To ensure all work is undertaken in line with NERS operational procedures and method statements.
- To carry out risk assessments and all necessary paperwork.
- Recording of test results, asset routes, joint positions, plant details etc on management system.
- To ensure completion of projects to agreed specifications and timescales.
- To work safely at all times and to ensure safety of others.

**Skills & experience**:

- UKPN - LPN Experience
- Solid Cable Jointing and Street Lighting Installations experience.
- Must demonstrate good awareness of site and Company rules.
- Be aware and comply with VolkerHighways Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental Policies.
- Ability to use own initiative
- Able to work under pressure
