**Job Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menu specifications.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Assist in the planning of menus, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during service periods.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages or needs to management.
- Help train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety practices.
- Stay updated on culinary trends and techniques to continuously improve menu offerings.

**Skills**
- Proficient in food preparation techniques and meal preparation processes.
- Strong knowledge of culinary practices, including cooking methods, ingredient handling, and presentation.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices within a kitchen environment.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced restaurant setting.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in both cooking and maintaining the kitchen space.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
- A positive attitude with a willingness to help others in the kitchen.

Pay: £11.44-£13.00 per hour
