An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and self-motivated clinician from one of the following Allied Health disciplines: Psychology, Speech Pathology, or Social Work to join the Department Student Support Services (SSS) workforce to provide comprehensive service to schools and students in your relevant discipline.

The successful applicant will assist in the coordination of service delivery within a multidisciplinary team, assist in the implementation of evidence-based and multidisciplinary interventions in collaboration with Area and Divisional teams, provide high-level professional advice to schools that strongly influence student learning outcomes and wellbeing policies within a school community and the wider Area, provide advice and support regarding emergency management and critical incident response, and contribute to the mentoring and direction of other team members.

**This position is AH4, full-time, fixed-term (ending 22/05/2026)** and based in Hume South commencing as soon as possible. Applications from Psychologists, Speech Pathologists or Social Workers will be considered.

As an SSS team member you will work as part of a multidisciplinary Area-based team comprising a broad range of Allied Health professionals comprising psychologists, speech pathologists, social workers, visiting teachers and/or behaviour analysts. You will provide comprehensive services to schools and students to enhance developmental and learning outcomes and support student health and wellbeing. This is achieved through the provision of strategies and specialised support at the individual, group, school and/or team level within a Department Area.

**What key qualities are we looking for?**

**Expert advice**: You will be required to provide advice that will influence the development of teaching and learning strategies and student wellbeing programs for school leadership teams to embed in their practices.

**Communication**: We are looking for someone with highly developed communication, networking and interpersonal skills as liaison with a range of people in the education community and beyond.

**Flexibility**: The ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and the capability to work autonomously when required.

**Expert interventions and collaboration**: You will have the ability to undertake advanced interventions that support students and schools, work collaboratively with other professionals on complex cases, including supporting teachers in the development of educational programs to improve student learning, particularly for students with additional needs.

**We can consider applicants from the below disciplines**:

- **Psychologist**: A graduate or post-graduate qualification in psychology and full Registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- **Speech Pathologist**: A graduate or post-graduate degree in speech pathology and eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
- **Social Worker**: A graduate or post-graduate degree in social work or equivalent and eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.

**Job Location**:This position is based in the Hume Merri-bek Area. There is a requirement to travel and visit schools as part of service delivery. SSS staff have access to Department fleet vehicles.
