We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate Veterinary Care Assistant to join our Norwich practice.

Our practice is bright, spacious, air-conditioned and purpose built to industry leading standards and has state of the art equipment including digital X-ray and in-house laboratory facilities.

You will assist all colleagues with non-clinical duties to support smooth running of the practice and provide the best standard of patient care.

This is a part time role working 31.75 hours per week, 4 days a week mostly an afternoon shift until 8pm and 1 full weekend in 4.

The attributes and skills required
- You are the friendly and welcoming face for the client and their pets when they arrive at the practice giving a great customer service experience.
- You are able to provide guidance by keeping yourself fully up-to-speed with the practice services and any additional services available, previous experience in a veterinary industry would be advantageous.
- You will build strong relationships with our clients, their pets and be a pro-active team player supporting the veterinary team.
- You are calm, attentive and always focus on the clients’ needs, looking to go above and beyond to create an excellent client experience.
- You will bring enthusiasm and drive to your role. You are passionate and committed to the caring of animals and your service is matched with your love of pets.
- You can deal with everything that is thrown at you, from comforting a client who has had some bad news about their pet or sharing in the joy of a new puppy’s first visit to the vet, ultimately you want to make a different to the pets in our care.
- You will maintain the cleanliness of the practice at all times and assist with Reception duties as and when required.
- Your personality is infectious and along with your fellow colleagues and create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere in the practice.
