£15.95 per waking hour

Time and a half on bank holidays

45p per mile for mileage during work

On behalf of our client, Head First is recruiting bank female Support Workers to provide support to a mature woman with a traumatic brain injury living in her own home in Hailsham. This is a great opportunity to join an experienced team to assist our client to maintain a level of independence. Our client’s weekly schedule includes attending a weekly social group, doing jigsaws, crosswords puzzles and occasional shopping trips when she also enjoys a coffee and cake.

If you are bright and resilient, can build good rapport, and are skilled at enabling people to achieve a good quality of life then you would enjoy working with our client.
- Shifts are 10 am to 5pm and include weekdays, weekends, and bank holiday working.
- Flexibility essential to be able to cover at short notice and for pre-arranged holidays.
- Support is needed to enable our client to engage in community activities, to deal with domestic tasks and to manage her personal care.
- An interest in cooking, gardening, art and current affairs would be especially useful.
- A positive attitude, emotional resilience and excellent communication skills are required.
- Must be a driver, with the use of a car and appropriate insurance for work purposes.
- Up to date DBS at enhanced level required - paid for by the employer.

Occupational Requirement under the Equality Act 2010 for females only.

Head First do not directly employ Support Workers, but we recruit the Support Workers on behalf of our clients, and our dedicated and experienced case managers are responsible for the day-to-day management of the support team. Head First provides access to mandatory training and brain injury specific training. Head First also provide regular 1:1 clinical supervision and 24/7 emergency on-call support. Head First have experienced payroll and human resources teams so Support Workers always have a point of contact for employment and pay queries.
