Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Locum Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology to join our dynamic team at [NHS Trust Name]. This role requires a highly skilled individual with a passion for women's health and a commitment to providing excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities
- **Clinical Duties**:

- Provide comprehensive obstetrics and gynaecology services, including prenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care.
- Perform gynaecological surgeries and procedures as required.
- Participate in outpatient clinics, managing a wide range of gynaecological conditions.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality care to all patients.

**Leadership and Training**:

- Supervise and mentor junior doctors and medical staff.
- Participate in the teaching and training programs for medical students and postgraduate trainees.
- Contribute to the continuous professional development (CPD) activities of the department.

**Collaboration and Communication**:

- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including midwives, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain effective communication with patients, their families, and colleagues.
- Participate in departmental meetings, case conferences, and audit activities.

Essential Qualifications and Experience
- **Medical Qualifications**:

- MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
- Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
- Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) or equivalent.

**Experience**:

- Extensive experience in obstetrics and gynaecology, including experience in an NHS setting.
- Proven track record of managing complex obstetric and gynaecological cases.
- Demonstrated experience in gynaecological surgery.

- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.

- Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- **Fellowship**:

- Fellowship of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRCOG) or equivalent.

**Additional Training**:

- Advanced training or subspecialty interest in a specific area of obstetrics and gynaecology.
- Experience in research and contribution to academic publications.

**Other information**:

- This is locum post based on the requirement form the trust.
- we required someone who can consider on calls and full rota.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: £100.00-£125.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 per week
