Robertson Bell is pleased to be partnering with a leading property developer to recruit a Senior Group Accountant on a permanent basis. Joining the organisation during an exciting period of transformation, the role will not only lead the statutory reportingbut also play a crucial role in exciting projects such as revamping the organisations chart of accounts.
**The main responsibilities of the Senior Group Accountant include**:
- Take ownership of producing the full set of statutory accounts for the organisation, for both year-end, including consolidated accounts and any additional reports required for the regulator
- Support monthly management reporting, including group balance sheets and working worksheet with treasury to ensure an accountancy driven cash flow statement
- Working in close collaboration across the finance department to ensure year end and audit requirements are met successfully, and seek areas to improve and tighten financial controls
- Focus on the use of financial systems, ensuring that each subsidiary is getting the best out of the systems in use and that there is consistency across each subsidiary
- Eventually this role will be responsible for leading a successful team
- A fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA/equivalent).
- A strong financial accountant with a demonstrable experience of leading the production of annual financial statements.
- Able to build strong working relationships internal and external stakeholders.
- Experienced in the property / manufacturing sector is highly desirable.
