**Mobile Cleaner**

**Location: North of the County**

**Salary: Grade 2 - £12.45 Hours: 25 hrs per week**

**Permanent - 52 weeks per year.**

**Monday to Friday (can include weekend work and bank holidays)**

Applicants must hold a current driving licence.

We continually invest in the development of our staff with training leading to qualifications in equipment, health and safety and cleaning procedures to BICSc standards. No experience necessary but we ask that applicants share our commitment to customer service and a vision of a cleaner Denbighshire.

**Job Purpose**

To provide an efficient Building Cleaning Service at. Denbighshire County Council Contracted Sites.

As the position may involve covering short notice abstractions due to leave/sickness, a high level of flexibility is required for the role.

**Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities**

Drive and maintain DCC vehicles whilst on duty.

To provide additional cleaning support at various contracted sites, including short notice cleaning cover for staff leave and/or sickness abstractions.

To attend sites as directed and perform cleaning tasks to a satisfactory standard as per the site cleaning specification and frequencies.

Opening/Locking/Securing of contracted sites if and where required.

Ensure safe working practices and adhered to at all times in particular those relating to the use of machinery and chemical substances.

Report defective equipment immediately to the appropriate supervisor..

Order and receive cleaning materials as required.

Maintain cleaning store rooms in a clean and tidy condition.

Complete signing in and out each day.

Be properly attired at all times (Uniform and PPE will be provided).

**Resources/Equipment/Material**

Access to a DCC vehicle/Mobile Phone.

**Supervision/Management of People**

None

**Knowledge, Skills, Training and Experience**

An experienced cleaning operative with knowledge of general cleaning and the ability to perform task as instructed but immediate supervisor.

**Special Working Conditions**

Moderate Exposure to cleaning chemicals (controlled under COSHH regulations).

**Employment Checks/ Specific Requirements**

The post does require a DBS.

To ensure an efficient building cleaning service is provided at site.
