Assistant / Trainee Lighting Designer
A fantastic opportunity for an aspiring Lighting Designer to join a lighting design studio working on a wide range of bespoke residential, hospitality and landscape projects in collaboration with great architects, interior designers and landscape designers.
The role would suit a recent graduate in architecture, interior design or a related design discipline who is looking to expand their knowledge into a new area. Experience in lighting design is not necessary but you should have a strong interest in light and lighting and the ability to communicate ideas through drawings, sketches and computer visualisation methods. Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign is desirable and an experience in Dialux or Revit advantageous.
You will work closely with the director and receive training on all aspects of creative and technical lighting design and the software necessary to produce high quality detail focused information. You will have the opportunity to become involved in the day-to-day running of projects, assist with designing projects from concept to completion and go on site visits in Hertfordshire and further afield. The role offers flexible working hours from 3 days minimum to-5 days a week and you should have your own transport. You would be required to work from the studio near Wheathampstead and should also like dogs

Part-time hours: 15-37 per week
