Yard Supervisor

**Jewson**a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe, is on the hunt for a **Yard Supervisor** who's as passionate about great service as we are.

**Hours** 07.30 - 17.00 Monday to Friday and every other Saturday morning 0800-1200

**Location;**Jewson Haslemere, Stonemans Yard, Weydown Industrial Estate, Haslemere, GU27 1DB

**Key Responsibilities**
- Welcome customers to the branch and take an active interest in their projects
- Get to know our product lines so you can offer help and advice
- Ensure your team are set up for the day, including delivery drivers with route planning
- Help to process and prepare customer orders - load and unload customer and supplier vehicles using a forklift truck to minimise manual handling (training will be provided)
- Work as a direct support the management team and act as a keyholder when needed
- Check incoming deliveries and report missing or damaged products
- Maintain stock levels in both the warehouse and yard areas, carrying out regular stock counts
- Keep the branch looking clean and tidy and make Health & Safety a priority
- Work with colleagues to suggest opportunities for improvement

**Required Skills and Experience**
- Previous industry experience preferred but not essential
- A positive team player who is a strong and inclusive leader
- A genuine enthusiasm for dealing with customers, and a ‘customer 1st’ attitude
- Confident working both indoors and outdoors, with a strong focus on H&S
- Comfortable in a role involving extensive manual handling of bulky items
