**Description**

The Junior Accounts Assistant will be supporting the Senior Credit Controller with the day to day responsibilities on the Credit function within the business. These will include:

- The main purpose of the role is to ensure appropriate Customer Accounts Debtors Balances are controlled accurately and effectively, along with all key Administration and Reports promptly and accurately updated
- Entering and posting receipts into accounting system
- Allocating and matching receipts against invoices/credits
- Continuously chasing customers for remittances
- Continuously reviewing Credit Control Mailbox and responding accurately and promptly
- Continuously chasing allocated customer accounts for debt
- Amending customer account details where appropriate
- Printing statement in accordance with processes
- Raising credit notes for specific customer accounts
- Raising manual invoices for specific customer accounts
- Creating general weekly/monthly reports
- Reconcile and upload daily invoice batches
- Any other ad hoc duties as required to support the team

**Profile**

The successful Junior Accounts Assistant will be looking to start a career within finance or accounting and have:

- An excellent telephone manner
- Good System and Excel skills
- Able to deal with a variety of people at different organisational levels
- Excellent communication skills
- Keen to learn with a professional attitude

**Job Offer**

The Junior Accounts Assistant can expect to earn between £18,000 and £23,000 dependent upon experience, plus a benefits package.

This role will be office based 5 days a week.
