**Category Buyer - Maintenance**

This role gives you ownership of both direct and indirect procurement for our UK based operations, they are a friendly bunch so be prepared to make friends for life.

Ensuring tender processes are carried out efficiently will ensure cost saving is felt across our UK sites and for that you can expect to receive thanks regularly from our frontline teams, they like to save the pennies so the pounds can look after themselves.

Above all else, safety is at the heart of everything we do here. Working with your team you will carry out supplier due diligence, competency, safety, quality and financial checks to ensure our agreements are in the interests of keeping our people safe.

**Your key responsibilities**
- Obtain quotations from an appropriate range of suppliers for each project in line with the specification and scope supplied
- Prepare tender documentation and participate in supplier and contractor selections and negotiations
- Produce and manage procurement reports which include tender reviews
- Working with the legal team to prepare contract drafts and expediting the internal and external contract signature process, ensuring compliance with authorisation levels
- Liaising with all internal stakeholders to agree on projects, expectations, timeline
- Review supplier quotations and ensure all documentation is in order

**Your profile**

- Experience working in an indirect procurement team
- Certified training in procurement eg CIPS
- Ability to work collaboratively with operations, finance, quality, safety, central projects
- Knowledge of Coupa would be an advantage as would be experience with Access
- Experience of working a in multi-site business using shared / centralized procurement & P2P system
