**Job overview**:
We are looking for highly motivated and innovative Health Care Assistant to join our busy specialist nursing team, in Dermatology Out Patients. You will support the specialist nurses who look after patients with inflammatory skin disease who require drug monitoring.
The Dermatology Centre at Salford offers a full range of dermatology services and is one of the largest of its kind in Europe. Specialist services include:
Psoriasis Clinic Eczema Clinic Hidradenitis Suppurativa Clinic Dermatological Surgery
Laser surgery
Mohs' Surgery
Paediatric Dermatology
Allergy Testing
Skin cancer clinics
Your job role will involve working with the specialist nurse team, but you may also be asked to support dermatologists in any the above areas.
Whilst our main department is based at Salford Royal, we also have spoke services based at Bury, Radcliffe, and Stockport, Your main work base will be Salford but you will be expected to work across sites when required.
Every year the center cares for approximately 13,000 new outpatients with a further 26,000 follow up appointments. We aim to provide the highest achievable standards of care.
**Main duties of the job**:
You will be a motivated team player with a flexible attitude and be able to demonstrate commitment to your own professional development. You will have an knowledge in Dermatology and experience in helping to care for patients with inflammatory skin disease (eg psoriasis, eczema) would be highly desirable.
Your role will include the following areas.
Supporting patient care delivery by running independent clinics (face to face and telephone) under the supervision of highly Specialist nurses and the nurse Consultant
Supporting the Specialist Nurse Inflammatory Skin Disease Clinics including biologic and drug monitoring
Coordinating Home care Prescription management
Phlebotomy
You will be required to work over 5 days, 31.0 hours per week.
