Gatwick is a large airport with the highest performing runway in the world. Across the thousands of staff who work at the airport and the millions of passengers that travel through, this role will help ensure we deliver a safe and smooth operation everyday

As the Resilience Lead, you will be at the forefront of designing and implementing a robust resilience strategy that ensures our operations withstand and adapt to the dynamic challenges of the aviation industry. This role is pivotal in safeguarding the airport's infrastructure, operations, and services against disruptions, whilst fostering a culture of continuous improvement and resilience.

**What will you do?**
- Develop and oversee the delivery and continuous improvement of a comprehensive resilience strategy, through the identification of risks, interpretation of legislation and management of resilience workstreams.
- Oversight and management of the businesses Incident Crisis Management (ICM) topic to increase capability and ensure responses meets expectations.
- Managing external agency relationships (emergency services, government authorities) to ensure Gatwick Airports interests are protected and expectations in emergency situations are understood and respected.
- Proactive leadership of business continuity and resilience across the airport, adopting a collaborative approach engaging stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance
- Responsible for ensuring the development, communication and compliance of contingency/continuity plans and standard operating processes across the business.
- Development and delivery of effective training and exercising programmes for resilience measures, both internally and with key external stakeholders.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of resilience measures, making data-driven recommendations for enhancements.

**Do you have what we're looking for?**
- Having a Business Continuity Certification is an advantage, and knowledge of Risk Management practices, with a formal qualification being desirable
- Effective leadership skills are essential, particularly the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team. This involves understanding and valuing different perspectives, fostering an inclusive environment, and encouraging collaboration and innovation.
- The ability to develop and maintain relationships with various stakeholders, including government and community organizations, is crucial.
- Proven experience in resilience, risk management, crisis management, and business continuity activities within a complex operational environment.
- Upholding strong ethical standards and values is essential, especially when understanding the human impact of crises. This involves making decisions that prioritize integrity, fairness, and compassion. Recognizing the profound effects that crises can have on individuals and communities.
