Clinical and Technical To be responsible as a member of the clinical team for the management of patients undergoing PET studies and participate in a rota to provide clinical cover for the PET Centre. To vet imaging requests in accordance with departmental guidance. To insert I.V. lines when required and perform pharmacological cardiac stress studies, administer insulin and sedation as required.

In conjunction with the radiographers, to administer radiotracers and IV contrast as required. To participate in interpretation of images and report dictation, providing an efficient and timely service to referring clinicians. To participate in planning and execution of some research studies. Prepare cases for and participate in multidisciplinary meetings.

To liaise with referrers and other clinicians requesting scans and image review and occasionally for radiotherapy planning purposes. Academic Clinical Research - The fellow may undertake a research project whilst in post and would be encouraged to present at a national or international meeting and publish their research. One session will be allocated for research time. Teaching and training - The fellow will be expected to take part in teaching and training of other healthcare staff (e.g., technologists and radiographers, medical students) Administrative The post holder will be expected to take part in the general activities of the School of Biomedical Engineering & Imaging Sciences, including departmental meetings, appraisal and KCL probation meetings.

To respond to enquiries about PET from clinicians and other healthcare personnel. Key objectives: The fellow will be working in the field of PET-CT imaging to ensure the smooth running of the clinical service. Communication & networking: Good general communication skills are essential for the interaction with members of the clinical team within PET and research teams from within Imaging Sciences. It will be essential to form a good working relationship with referring clinicians and imaging technical staff.

**Decision making, planning & problem solving**: Decisions will be taken together with the Clinical Lead in PET to whom the post-holder is primarily accountable. Service delivery: The post-holder will be involved in vetting, supervision and supervised reporting of PET-CT scans and MDMs and for liaising with referring and other clinicians. The post holder may also administer radiotracers and IV or oral contrast as required in conjunction with technical and radiography staff. Analysis & research: The post-holder may undertake a research or audit project during their appointment under supervision.

**Teamwork, teaching & learning support**: The post holder will be expected to take part in an Appraisal scheme during their time in post. Job plan: Clinical staff have a formal job plan of fixed commitments. A draft timetable is available.
