We are looking for a Laundry Assistant and Home Steward to join our welcoming team at Danesford Grange Care Home.

Danesford Grange is a privately owned care home based in the idyllic town of Bridgnorth, Shropshire. The home, sat in around 2 acres of land is located in the Shropshire countryside right on the bank of the river seven. The current founders have owned the home since 1990 and the current manager has worked here for nearly 20 years.

Danesford Grange offers a warm and friendly atmosphere for both the residents and the staff. The dedicated team of staff provide high quality nursing care to the elderly and residents with dementia.

We are looking for a laundry assistant and home steward,

**Steward Responsibilities**
- To take meals and beverages to residents.
- To ensure all used crockery and trays are returned to kitchen to ensure smooth meal and beverage services.
- To communicate residents’ choices and requests to the appropriate department.
- To ensure a clean and well-presented dining room is available at all times.
- To have knowledge in modified diets adhering to IDDSI Levels and SALT guidelines. (Training provided)
- Maintain high levels of personal hygiene.

**Laundry Assistant Role**
- Orgnaising the Laundry room and keeping all residents laundry items neat and tidy.
- Ensure all residents clothes, bedding, and towels are appropriately washed, dryed, ironed and labelled.
- Ensure all residents personal clothing items are returned to them
- Resiardrobes to be kept tidy and organised
- Ensure detergent is stocked up

**General requirements of Both Roles**
- Able to work alone as well as part of a team.
- Some knowledge of working with vulnerable adults and dementia. Training will be given.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to listen and learn.
- Ability to treat people with dignity.
- To have flexibility and the ability to cover annual leave and sickness when required.
