Premier Engineering has engaged with a key client and a world leader in thermal machine/Consumer Goods manufacturing based in the Midlands with various manufacturing plants across the UK. Due to team expansion, new opportunities have arisen for Multi-SkilledMaintenance Engineers to join on a permanent basis, based at the Long Eaton plant.
**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Time served apprenticeship in engineering function. Desirable
- Experience carrying out electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks. Essential Ability to have analytical approach with sound problem solving ability. Essential Previous experience carrying out preventative maintenance tasks. Essential
- Ability to read and understand both electrical and mechanical drawings. Essential Strong attention to detail to ensure maintenance repairs are carried out to high standards.
- Excellent communicator and strong communication skills. Essential Calm and resilient under pressure. Essential
- Knowledge of carrying out maintenance on Robots. Essential Knowledge of PLCs. Desirable
- Competent with the use of IT. Essential

**Technical knowledge**:

- Proficiency in the techniques employed in his area of activity,
- Awareness of issues relating to hygiene, safety and the environment.
- Some specific training requirements (forklift truck driver, etc.) may be necessary, depending on the activities.

**MAIN DUTIES**:

- Conducts all the operations necessary to ensure the operational readiness and reliability of equipment.
- Carries out maintenance work (preventive and corrective), in line with the schedule and processes defined by the command line, respecting safety rules and working conditions,
- Makes sure that equipment is well maintained and available for the production activity, Enters information on repairs conducted in the computer system and updates machine files.
- Suggests improvements to resources in order to optimise: safety conditions, quality, machine uptime, and production costs.
- Communication between shifts ensuring handovers are effective (written and digital). Ensuring cleanliness and organisation of maintenance department and working areas. Maintenance of site facilities including compressors, boilers, chillers, fire systems,lighting, and general building status.

**Product Design and Industrial Production Process**:

- May be involved in the acceptance phase of new equipment or take part in development, as well as machine/process moves.
