**ABOUT THIS ROLE**
Under the overall direction of the Buildings and Technical Manager, to operate Stage Door provision at Southend Theatres, providing a welcoming, safe, efficient and secure back of house environment. To provide administration support and information to Technical and other departments.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Provide switchboard services for the organisation, including radio communication with staff to ensure effective routing of calls.
- Manage the signing in and out of personnel, keys and radios in line with company procedures.
- Provide security for back of house areas allowing and restricting access as appropriate.
- Act as first point of contact for visiting company members, providing relevant information as requested and presenting a welcoming and helpful approach at all times.
- Report faults using the Maintenance Log system.
- Manage the Dressing Room areas, including arranging hospitality riders, checking cleanliness and carrying out health and safety checks as instructed by the Buildings and Technical Manager.
- Provide a central point of contact for the technical team and external contractors during operational times.
- Manage the organisation’s digs list, arranging quality visits on a regular basis.
- As part of the backstage team, assist with backstage evacuation in accordance with company procedures.
- Assist in maintaining the Technical Department’s stock and provision of First Aid supplies and equipment.
- Assist the Buildings and Technical Manager in ensuring Riders and associated technical information is received, disseminated, and stored as instructed and within the required deadlines.
- Assist the Building and Technical Manager with correspondence between the venues and in-coming companies and the booking of show requirements and personnel within the required deadlines.
- Provide administration and clerical support for the Buildings and Technical Manager, including preparation and implementation of technical forms and procedures, record keeping, diary and file management, arrangement and minuting of meetings as required.
- Supervise casual Stage Door personnel, ensuring a daily flow of information and communication between each operational shift and with other departments, as required.
- Ensure casual technical recruitment and working processes and procedures are adhered to, in liaison with the HR Manager.
- Carry out any other duties relevant to the post as instructed by the Buildings and Technical Manager.
- Undertake training and development relevant to the successful execution of the job role.
**OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Dress in accordance with Company uniform policy and wear protective clothing where issued and instructed.
- Attend staff meetings as and when required.
