**About the job**

We are looking for a Technician to work within local highways operations based in Worthing.

You will be a key member of the maintenance team and will support on a wide range of technical work. This will include:

- Site visits.
- Raising work orders
- Liaising with customers and stakeholders
- Providing information and analysis.

The team deals with a number of highways issues on a day-to-day basis, and you will support the Cyclical Maintenance Coordinator, but you will also support the wider team including the principal engineer.

**Salary**: £21,269 to £22,571

**Working Pattern**: Full Time, 37 Hours.

**Contract Length**:Permanent.

**Location**: Based at Worthing, working across the county. Flexible working available.

**Interview Date**:Week commencing 26 April and 22 April AM.

**Experience and skills**

**Key Skills**:

- Ability to interpret complex information to produce a high-quality document.
- Organisational skills to plan and meet set targets.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to create effective working relationships.
- Ability to present information presented clearly, concisely, accurately and in ways that promote understanding.
- Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
- Strong customer focus.

**Qualifications and/or experience**:

- 5 GCSE's with A-C (9-4) passes, including Maths and English, or equivalent qualification, or demonstrable equivalent comparable experience.
- Demonstrable evidence of delivering an effective, efficient professional service.
- Experience of dealing with the general public.
- Sound and accurate working knowledge of IT to carry out research, analyse documents and present data.
- Full driving licence.
