**Role Profile**
The business is looking to add to their forever evolving Buying team. We are looking for someone with ambition and drive that takes real pride in their work.
**Skills & Experience**
- At least 2 years' experience working in a supply/chain procurement environment (preferably from a promotional merchandise / apparel background)
- Worked within a fast paced, quick response environment
- Extremely well organised
- Methodical in approach
- Strong attention to detail
- Understands the commercial trail
- Can work on your own initiative
- Confident communicator
- Another language to English (desirable not essential)
- Excellent knowledge of MS Excel is essential due to the nature of the role
- Good working knowledge of MS Outlook, PowerPoint and Word.
- Takes a professional pride in their professional role
**Key Responsibilities**
- Respond to customer specific requests, via our Sales Team, in a quick and efficient manner with information such as sample ordering, delivery date, proof of deliveries and quotation requests.
- Sourcing directly from our established supply base, or, through suppliers that you have approached and qualified, so that we quote or deliver the optimum combination of capability, price, lead-time and quality.
- Ensure that a full written documentation trail is saved within the cloud based 'job bag', in accordance with specified company procedures.
- Proactively manage costs, in line with required profit margins and budgets.
- Utilise skills to negotiate best prices / payment terms / deals from suppliers.
- Produce and provide accurate 'delivered' prices to sales team.
- Propose products in response to briefs from the sales team and our clients.
- Raise formal purchase orders through our order processing system.
- Risk assess and then program orders for delivery.
**Remuneration**
£30,000 -£35,000 + Excellent Benefits
