**Hours and location: 40+ hours per week, Mondays - Fridays.**

**The role will be based at Chesterfield, S41 9HY**

WARD are looking for a Container Lifter Operative to join our team in Chesterfield. You will be part of a hardworking team of Ward employees who support in the recycling of over half a million tonnes of ferrous and non-ferrous metals each year. Reporting to the Ferrous Supervisor you will learn to use our container lifter to load a variety of materials into containers for shipping. You may also have the opportunity to learn to operate material handlers, loading shovels, and various other plant and machinery.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Duties include but are not limited to:

- Keeping the site safe, clear and tidy
- Ensuring containers are loaded promptly and correctly and in line with our quality and safety requirements
- to accurately record material loaded via photos in line with international loading procedures
- Accurate record material and loading procedure through photos and record keeping
- Following all health and safety protocols
- Manual duties as directed by the Site Manager
- Monitor and inspect materials and report any non-acceptable material items
- Knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous materials would be an advantage
