Makes and Bakes are looking for friendly and reliable people to join our team and help lead our arts and crafts activities on a part time basis.

**About us**

We are passionate about creativity Our mission is to encourage people of all ages and abilities to enjoy and benefit from incorporating creative activity in their life. As a company we organise and lead craft workshops for birthday parties, councils, charities and corporate events. Our team travels out to venues all over NI to run a variety of step-by-step workshops.

**How we work**

Our events are mostly on during Saturdays and Sundays however we can get bookings for any day of the week. Our staff work on an ad-hoc basis, accepting and committing to the jobs they want to do and rejecting the jobs they can't cover. This means our staff can work their job with us around existing study or family commitments.

**Responsibilities**
- Lead our step-by-step workshops to a high standard of quality and in an engaging manner.
- Travel to and from event venues.
- Keep the workspace tidy and clean.
- Clean up after workshops and clean the workshop equipment.
- Provide patient support to people who may have difficulty participating in the workshops such as those with disabilities.
- Handle customer payments.
- Represent the company in a friendly and professional manner at all events.
- Maintain good communication with the team and reply promptly to job requests.

We are interested in hearing from friendly and confident people who are enthusiastic about working in a creative environment.

Being able to work well in a team and using initiative to support our guests and other staff are also important attributes to us.

Reliability is of the utmost importance in this role. Backing out of a job at the last minute can mean disappointing a child on their birthday. We ask our staff to ensure that, apart from in cases of illness or emergency, they are able to cover all events they have committed to.

**Please note**

All training is provided.

**Salary**

The activity instructor salary is £15 per hour while working at events.

We also compensate staff for their time and fuel when traveling to jobs outside of Belfast.
