Peripatetic Janitor

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Facilities Management, Stirling Council for a Peripatetic (Mobile) Janitor.

The post will involve providing a janitorial service, Monday to Friday, throughout the Stirling Council area in support of school communities on a term time (41 weeks per year) / full-time (35 hours per week), basis as directed by Facilities Officers and paid at Stirling Council Grade 4.

You will cover annual leave or other janitorial absence and support those schools that do not have a permanent janitorial service.

Personal protective equipment, tools and transport will be provided and training where necessary.
Applicants should be flexible in respect of working times (day-time hours), be capable or lifting heavy items on a repetitive basis and be prepared to work outdoors in inclement weather.

Occasional overtime working at evenings to cover school lets may also be available.
