**The Business**

You will join a manufacturing business who’s group is made up of a number of production operations and are now entering an exciting new chapter in their history.

**The Role**

Joining the business as part of a new group wide business Procurement & Supply Chain strategy, the Senior Buyer will be responsible for Commodity and Sourcing strategy implementation delivering best cost with minimum risk to the Group. Key duties include
- Ownership of delivering cost out opportunities and leverage group synergies.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure advantageous terms
- Work alongside Head of Supply Chain, Supply Chain Analyst, Engineering and Sales to ensure new products are sourced in line with key cost reduction targets
- Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies
- Monitor market trends and external factors affecting the supply chain
- Support Continuous Improvement/development programs and direct material strategies
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity in supply chain systems
