**Welfare Benefits Advisor**
**Location**:Stanmore (Hybrid)
**Hours**:35 hours
**Salary**:£26,000 - £31,000 per annum, depending on experience
**Contract**:6-month FTC, possible permanent**
**Norwood is currently recruiting for a Welfare Benefits Advisor to work with our supported living and finance department an exciting role and rewarding role which is provisionally six months with a possibility to go permanent.**

**Some of the main responsibilities**:
1. Provide high quality Welfare Benefits advice and casework and, as appropriate, representation.

2. Write Mandatory Reconsideration requests and in a limited number of cases, write appeal submissions.

3. Maintain appropriate records of work undertaken.

4. Gather information to monitor and evaluate the service.

5. Keep all the relevant government authorities informed of any change of circumstances that could affect the benefit claims of the People we support.
**Essential Requirements**:

- Experience of benefit advice work.
- Experience of welfare rights casework and managing own case load.
- Be computer literate and administratively self-supporting
- Ability to commute to Stanmore Head office
