**Average of 48 hours per week**

**6 nights & 3 off shift pattern**

**Pay £9.25 ph**

**Must hold a full driving licence, knowledge of Access Control and basic Microsoft skills.**

Working in a busy gatehouse with a colleague to control access / egress, deliveries and contractors arriving on site and support on first aid (training available).

**How you will make an impact as a Security Officer**:

- Prevent and deter unauthorised access to the site.
- Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms and CCTV as appropriate.
- Conduct external and internal security patrols.
- Carry out routine tests of security equipment where appropriate.
- Provide support, guidance and information to all staff, visitors and contractors whilst ensuring safeguarding of the premises.
- Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Record and report all faults, health and safety hazards and unsafe working practices.
- Ensure all paperwork is completed in a timely fashion and conduct effective handover procedures.

**Essential Skills**

**What you will bring to be a Security Officer**:

- SIA Licence
- Right to work in the UK
- Five-year checkable employment history or be able to produce documentary evidence of any period of unemployment, self-employment, or full and part-time education during that period.
- **Full UK driving licence**:

- Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Punctual and reliable
- Manage multiple tasks
- The ability to make good judgment and come to sensible conclusions
- Able to negotiate and deal with sensitive and confidential matters with tact and discretion

**Desirable Skills**
- First Aid Certificate
- Knowledge of Gatehouse Security
