The Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) is the organisation through which the Mayor of London exercises his role as the Police and Crime Commissioner for London and is led by the Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime. MOPAC undertakes a broad range of statutory duties and works closely with the Mayor of London, Deputy Mayor and Metropolitan Police Service to deliver the priorities that will create safer London communities.

**The Role**:
You will be responsible for supporting the development of policy, commissioning services, and building and maintaining effective relationships with partners, to deliver across the Safer Children and Young People portfolio. This will include actively supporting the delivery of the Mayor’s Police and Crime Plan (PCP) for London and working to safeguard children and young adults.

With an understanding and commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion, you will support the commissioning of services and development of policies that impact on the outcomes for Londoners in our strategies, ensuring the disproportionate impact and specific needs of minoritised communities are addressed.

Supporting key policy areas, you will be producing briefings and submissions with policy options and advice to the Mayor, Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime, and senior officers across MOPAC and City Hall.

**We are looking for someone who**:

- Has an understanding or interest in issues affecting children and young adults who have experienced violence, exploitation and abuse.
- Has experience of policy development and implementation
- Has knowledge of evidence-based commissioning
- Has experience of developing and managing projects at pace, working flexibly to meet organisational priorities
- Has strong written and verbal communication skills.

**Where are we based?**:
We have moved to a hybrid working model with office hubs at Union Street (near London Bridge) and Newlands Park (postcode SE26). On average, staff will work 1-2 days a week from an Office Hub, which may differ depending on the role requirements.
