Canine Welfare Assistant
2 weeks ago
**Doggies Friend Day Care are looking to recruit a new member of staff (self-employed) to join our friendly and passionate dog daycare team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is a hardworking, reliable, honest, genuine dog lover who is also looking to potentially develop a career in the canine industry.**
**Masses of qualifications doesn’t necessarily make you essential to the job as this role is best learnt by doing it. However, reliable working experience of more than a few months is essential, we will ask for references.**
**About the Job**:
**Our customers depend on us to be there and look after their dogs on a regular basis, they usually send their dog to us because they have plans or work and don't want to leave them alone or they can't be left alone, many of our customers possibly couldn't have a dog if we didn't provide this service, therefore your attendance on your workdays is ESSENTIAL and RELIABILITY IS KEY.**
**We work outside regardless of the weather. It’s easy sometimes and nice being out in the sun, but it can also be cold, demanding, challenging, noisy, messy and mentally and emotionally draining when things don’t operate as smoothly as we like (so this is not the job for you if you’re thinking cute fluffy small dogs are going to be sitting on your lap all day having cuddles).**
**Duties to Include**:
**Supervision and ensuring the welfare of the dogs and their activities throughout the day is always mandatory. Day Care cleaning duties, end of day cleaning duties and weekly deep clean picking up Dog Waste, mopping up Dog fluids, feeding, comforting the dogs and much more. Working up to customer service duties, including checking dogs in and out, dealing with customers, greeting customers and helping out on new dog trails etc. Monday - Friday between 07:30am - 6:00 pm (daily hours to be discussed). Must be flexible and reliable, potentially to work extra, covering holidays and any sickness if necessary.**
**Previous applicants may apply.**
**This job is self employed only.**
**Job Type: Part-time/full-time role**
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
Application question(s):
- Are you already/willing to be self-employed for this role?
